THREE-YEAR BREAK
After the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro he took a break from the Spanish national team. "After Rio I had to stop and focus on my work. I had played for the national team for many years and it's hard to balance work and being an elite athlete. When you step away you don't know if you'll be able to come back, but it has been three years that the club [RC Polo] has been very good and we have been able to play at the maximum level and I have been able to stay in shape. It was easy to reach an agreement with the national coach. I also appreciate that at work I've had flexibility that has allowed me to focus on hockey, which is my passion and it completes me."
