General Interest

General
MOTHERHOOD
In August 2020 she gave birth to her daughter Lou. She left Danish club Randers HK in June 2020, and returned to playing domestically for Swedish side IK Savehof just over six weeks after becoming a mother. "I have had almost no break. I trained a lot during pregnancy and started playing easily two or three weeks after the birth. I have done what feels good and if I had not done so, I would have suffered for it myself. No one cares more about me than I do. I do it not to be tough or cool, but because it feels good. I see no reason to wait." (expressen.se, 26 Sep 2020; stv.se, 17 Sep 2020; LinkedIn profile, 01 Jun 2020)

REFEREE CHOICES
She was critical of the decision to only have female referees at the 2020 European Championship in Denmark. "The best referees should be in charge regardless of gender. You should not make the decision based on gender. This applies to both men's and women's championships. It does not become equal just because you only take girls or boys. If we are to get somewhere in this society, you should not be assigned things because of gender but on performance and knowledge." (aftonbladet.se, 01 Dec 2020; tellerreport.com, 01 Dec 2020)

FAMILY HERITAGE
Her father James is from Aruba, and her mother Gunilla is Swedish. (aftonbladet.se, 13 Dec 2010)

OTHER ACTIVITIES
She is a trained home styling consultant. (Instagram profile, 28 Mar 2021)
