Biographical Information

Highlights

He played for the Danish national team from 1993 to 2003. In 1998 he netted 15 times in a match against Greece to set a record for the most goals scored by a Danish handball player in a single international game. (jyllands-posten.dk, 30 May 2019; dr.dk, 04 Apr 2019)

He was player-coach at the Viborg HK club in Denmark from 2005 to 2007. He was assistant coach with Danish side Bjerringbro-Silkeborg between 2007 and 2012, and then served as head coach of Aalborg from 2012 to 2014. From 2014 until 2019 he coached German side Rhein-Neckar Lowen.

He bases his match strategy around the players he has available to him, rather than asking each team he coaches to play in the same way. "I am an open coach who is very communicative and listens to my players a lot. Tactically, I'm probably very disciplined with firm rules and a strict game concept. UNPAID JOB
In 2019 he accepted an unpaid role as assistant coach of the GOG U19 women's team in Gudme, Denmark. His daughter Sille plays for the club. "They have had a hard time finding coaches for the team.
