INJURY BATTLE
He was ruled out of action for over a year after twice rupturing the cruciate ligament in his left knee in 2017. He went 407 days between matches and missed out on the chance to participate in the 2017 World Championship in France. He said overcoming the injury has changed his perspective on his sport. "Getting injured is unfortunately part of the game. [But] that I would then be injured right after [recovering] with exactly the same injury, I was about to vomit. Every day [during recovery] was the same. It was all s##t and the whole world was s##t. Now I appreciate what I do much more, and it has given me more drive than usual." His recovery from injury was captured in the documentary 'Still Standing'. (sport.tv2.dk, 28 Dec 2018; sport.tv2.dk, 23 Sep 2017; hbold.dk, 01 Jul 2020)

CLUB CAREER
He signed his first professional contract in 2013 with Danish club KIF Holding Copenhagen. He spent three seasons at the club before moving to Spanish side FC Barcelona in 2016. In November 2019 he announced that he would be joining German club Fuchse Berlin ahead of the 2020/21 season. (hbold.dk, 01 Jul 2020)
