He has coached Ademar Leon in the Liga ASOBAL in Spain since 2019. This is his third spell at the club after coaching them between 1995 and 2007, and again for a season in 2012/13.

He has coached a number of clubs in Spain, including CB Naranco, CB Cantabria, Atletico Valladolid, Ademar Leon, Barcelona and Granollers. He has also coached Polish side Wisla Plock and Belarusian side Meshkov Brest. He served as head coach of the Spanish national team between 2013 and 2016.
