He served as head coach of the Chinese women's national team at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, and led the Korean women's national team between 2010 and 2014 during his first stint as coach of the team. He has also coached a number of club sides, including Pfadi Winterthur in Switzerland [2000-02] and Daido Steel in Japan [2005-07].
