LATE TOKYO CALL-UP
She was added to the Great Britain golf team for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo just a few weeks before the Games, after Charley Hull and Georgia Hall withdrew. "I can't tell you how excited I am to represent Team GB in the Olympics. I first heard that Charley wasn't going, and the next day I heard Georgia wasn't. I realised I was next on the list and got a phone call asking if I would go, which was a no-brainer. As an athlete, [the Olympic Games] is something I've always watched growing up and always wanted to be a part of it - but as golf was never part of it, it was never really an option. Since golf has been added [back into the Olympic programme], it's always been a goal of mine to make the team." (darlingtonandstocktontimes.co.uk, 07 Jul 2021; lpga.com, 06 Jul 2021)
