She began playing football at age three in Cowra, NSW, Australia. (cowraguardian.com.au, 07 Mar 2016)

"My brother Jeremy played football, he's two years older than me so I was always going down to the park with him, kicking the ball around. I started playing against the boys and got a lot of enjoyment out of that, trying to beat them, shoving them off the ball. I think having that tough sort of start has helped me become pretty aggressive and strong in the way I play. I was [also] a sprinter since I was about seven or eight. I really enjoyed athletics. I had done it all my life, and athletics and football were my two main sports. When I was 12 I had to make the decision to stick with athletics or go with football. I chose football because I'd much rather share the moments with all the girls." (thenewdaily.com.au, 11 Mar 2016; smh.com.au, 10 Mar 2016; theaustralian.com.au, 11 Jul 2020)

Her family. "They've been with me growing up, living in Cowra, driving me to every training session. We would leave Cowra at 16:00 to be in Canberra by 18:00. We would train there, eat dinner and do homework in the car and be back in Cowra by around 23:00. We did this for just over two years. Travelling hundreds of kilometres and patience was a normal part of our life. I wouldn't be here without the sacrifices they made to allow me to follow my dreams." General Interest

General
MOVE TO EUROPE
In June 2020 she joined French side Olympique Lyonnais, and in January 2021 she spoke about how the competition for places at the club has helped her to improve as a player. "I think I have improved a little bit from being here already for four or five months. With the world class players in the squad, every training session is like a match that everyone just wants to win so I definitely think I'm improving every day and that was my goal for coming here. I wanted to be out of my comfort zone and be pushed, mentally, physically on the field. Europe it is a lot different to the NWSL [National Women's Soccer League], it is more technical. It is a different playing style, that is where football is headed. I really wanted to focus on my technical side here and we do a lot of technical things in training as well, so I definitely think that side of my game has improved." (sport.optus.com.au, 26 Oct 2020; matildas.com.au, 14 Jan 2021)

CLUB CAREER
She started her career at Western Sydney Wanderers, making her W-League debut at age 15 in 2015. In 2017 she joined Canberra United, playing for the club in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 W-League seasons. In 2018 she joined the US side Portland Thorns ahead of the 2018 National Women's Soccer League [NWSL] season. She also played for the club in the 2019 NWSL season, before moving back to Australia and joining Melbourne City FC on a season-long loan deal. She joined Olympique Lyonnais on a permanent transfer in June 2020. (ol.fr, 03 Jul 2020)
