General
MOVE TO DENMARK
In July 2019 he moved from New Zealand to Denmark to join FC Helsingor. He has lived with a host family while in Denmark. "I wanted to go back to being uncomfortable in unfamiliar surroundings and work things out for myself again. I wanted to get into Europe and the club was going in the right direction and made things sound pretty good. I was happy to sign there and I signed there knowing that I was banking on myself to do well and to work hard and earn another opportunity somewhere." (stuff.co.nz, 05 Jan 2020; transfermarkt.co.uk, 26 May 2021)

EARLY DAYS
At age 14 he moved from Palmerston North to Wellington, New Zealand, in order to join Ole Football Academy and pursue a career in football. "I lived in Palmerston North up until I was 14 and loved life there. It was good but the football was not as great as it was in Wellington so the first opportunity I got I took it. I was looking for a while to get out. I was quite nervous at first [joining Ole Football Academy] but once I got there I loved it, being around people that thought the same way as me, loved football. I was 13-14 and it's weird that I made such a big decision at that age because I could have easily picked another thing and who knows what I'd be doing then. I'm grateful to my previous self for stacking it up and doing it." (stuff.co.nz, 05 Jan 2020)
