CLUB CAREER
He started his career at Central United in New Zealand before being transferred to Auckland City in July 2006. He then spent four seasons playing college football at the University of California, Santa Barbara in the United States of America between July 2007 and January 2011. In 2011 he signed for Vancouver Whitecaps in Canada before returning to New Zealand in June 2012 to play for Wellington Phoenix. He then transferred to SuperSport United in South Africa in July 2015. He moved to Minnesota United FC in the United States of America in July 2017. "In South Africa, there were so many talented players that are allowed to freely express themselves. That's where, when I was playing right back there you actually have to really defend one-on-one because you've got centre backs and defenders who can dribble as well as wingers over there. I think that definitely helped me develop as a player." (transfermarkt.co.uk, 27 Jun 2021; fiftyfive.one, 13 Jul 2017)
