UNITED MOVE
Having previously played in England for Chelsea in 2014/15, she moved to Manchester United from German side FFC Frankfurt in 2019. "One of the main reasons I wanted to come was Casey [Stoney, coach], I really wanted to work with her and become a better player and to be able to work on my game every day. And also because it was United and a big club that I've been a fan of for a while. I'd been tracking them last season and when Casey rang I had already made up my mind that I was coming here. The Women's Super League [WSL] has changed massively from five years ago. Not only the way it's viewed but the playing style has developed so much and the football has definitely improved since the last time I was here." (manchestereveningnews.co.uk, 17 Oct 2019; bbc.co.uk, 22 May 2019)

JUDO HELP
She says her judo background has helped her football career. "Looking back [doing judo] is one of the best decisions I have ever made. For my style of play it has been massive. When I talk to young girls, or when people ask me for advice, the first thing I always say is to take judo lessons with playing football. Ajax in Holland do it with the youth players. It is not only about strength, it is about using your body in the right way. I feel like I can tell when I have to step in or when I can put people off balance without really using force. I still miss it sometimes." (independent.co.uk, 06 Sep 2019)
