In mid-2020 she left German Frauen-Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg after taking a break from football due to mental health and sleep issues. She then returned to her former club Pitea IF, of the Swedish Damallsvenskan. "I am very sorry to leave Wolfsburg at this stage, but this is the right thing for me personally. I am very grateful for the support I received from the club. How Wolfsburg handled my situation shows what a professional club they are. I'm glad I want to play football again and I'm glad it will be with Pitea. I am familiar with how everything is there and I know that it is a professional organisation.
