MOVE TO MEXICO
He played for French clubs FC Lorient, Pau FC [loan], FC Toulouse and Olympique de Marseille, before moving to Mexico in July 2015 to join Tigres. He has since raised a family in Mexico, gained Mexican citizenship, learned Spanish and has a tattoo that depicts the mark of a tiger [club symbol] claw alongside his No.10 jersey number. In August 2019 he scored his 105th goal for Tigres, becoming the team's all-time top goalscorer overtaking Tomas Boy. He achieved the feat during a 1-0 win against Pumas UNAM. "It is my country of adoption, it is true, I feel like another Mexican. I have Mexican children who were born here. Because of how they have received me since I arrived six years ago now [speaking in 2021], I have the culture in my blood. Living and playing here has made my whole family so happy and contented. I hope I can stay in Monterrey and in Mexico for many more years to come."
