He began his coaching career in 2014 as an assistant coach with UNAM Pumas U20 team in Mexico before moving on to become head coach of Queretaro FC U20 team from 2015 to 2016. He was assistant coach of Queretaro FC men's team from 2016 to 2017, and worked as head coach for the team for eight months in 2017.
