General Interest

General
GERMAN FOOTBALL
He relocated to Germany from Brazil ahead of the 2018/19 season to join German Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen. He says the main difference he has noticed between the Brazilian Serie A and the German Bundesliga is the intensity the matches are played at. "The biggest difference was the intensity. It's bigger here in Germany. In Brazil there are some 'holes' during the game, even when major teams are playing, in which there is little intensity. I had that as a reference and once I came [to Germany] I could feel that difference. I was prepared when I arrived, but still I had to adapt the fastest I could to the game they play." (fussballbr.com, 28 Apr 2019)

FUTSAL INFLUENCE
He says playing futsal in his youth helped him develop as a football player. "Futsal helped me a lot. I learnt to dribble in short spaces which helped me so much when I played on the pitch. It helped me to stand out above other players." (fussballbr.com, 28 Apr 2019)
