OLYMPIC DREAM
She was inspired to compete at the Olympic Games after watching the Japanese women's team at the 2012 Games in London. She attended the tournament as part of the 'McDonald's Champion Kids', a project where five primary school pupils from Japan were invited to attend the Olympic Games. "It was very impressive, so I thought that I would like to claim gold as part of the team in the future." (nikkansports.com, 11 Mar 2020)

EARTHQUAKE DISASTER
After the 2011 earthquake off the Pacific coast of Tohoku in Japan, her local club Vamos Fukushima White River Football Club was closed for one year due to damage to the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. However, she was able to continue training when teams from other cities invited her to train at their facilities. "I was forced to do indoor activities at a public hall where I couldn't kick the ball. On holidays, teams from Tokyo, Saitama, and Chiba, who were able to use their grounds, invited us to play. I am able to play soccer not only because of the support of Fukushima, but also various other people." (nikkansports.com, 11 Mar 2020; vamosf.web.fc2.com, 25 Aug 2019; fujitv.co.jp, 2019)
