His younger sister Tamar has represented Israel in fencing at junior international level and won bronze in individual sabre at the 2020 European Cadet Championships in Porec, Croatia. His partner Yana Botvinik has also represented Israel in fencing and competed in individual and team epee at the 2019 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. BREAK FROM FENCING
He decided against trying to win a place at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and took a break from the sport in 2015 to concentrate on his studies at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, United States of America. "I felt I wasn't in the position to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro so decided to focus on my studies and preparing my application for law school at McGill University." FURTHER STUDIES
After beginning his French studies degree at Penn State University in State College, PA, United States of America, he transferred to the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after his freshman year and graduated from there in 2016. He then studied law at McGill University in Montreal, QC, Canada, where he also began a master's degree in law in 2019, specialising in air and space law. In addition, he has spent semesters studying at Pantheon-Sorbonne University in Paris, France and at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel.
