FROM NEW ZEALAND TO THE UK
Born in Oxford, New Zealand, he moved to the UK in 2003 in order to further his equestrian career. He and his wife Jonelle have their stables at Mere Farm near Marlborough, England. "It is a long road from New Zealand, coming over here with nothing and working out how to make a living out of what we do and getting the quality of horses we need." (timandjonelle.com, 26 Oct 2020; eurosport.com, 04 Sep 2018; stuff.co.nz, 17 Jun 2014; horseandhound.co.uk, 16 Jun 2014)

HORSE RETIREMENT
In 2021 he announced that he was retiring his horse Wesko after he sustained a minor injury during early-season preparations. Price had hoped to compete with Wesko at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. "It was going to be a bit of a push for an 18-year-old to make the final four at the Olympics later this year [2021] and sadly it just wasn't mean to be. We have had so much fun together, so I have a lot to be thankful for. Above all, he's my mate and that isn't about to change." (horsetalk.co.nz, 11 May 2021)
