She was encouraged to try equestrian sport by her mother. "I wouldn't say that I had any pressure to do dressage but they let me decide what I wanted to do. I did many different sports. I got to choose my own path. My horse passed away and my mum ended up buying a dressage horse for the two of us to share. So, that's how I really got into dressage." STABLES
She is based at Enterprise Farm in Rhinebeck, NY, United States of America. She works there as assistant trainer for US dressage rider Ashley Holzer, who is also her godmother. "[I was] thinking I was only going to be there for a year and then go back to school. I ended up managing and working for her for seven or so years. Now I've been on my own for three years and riding for Enterprise Farm and a couple of other people. I train every season with Ashley, and we train virtually as much as possible when I'm in New York. She's my mentor, and my everything. She's like family to me and a huge part of my career, so I'm grateful to her for that." (horsesport.com, 17 Apr 2021eurodressage.com, 09 May 2019)

SISTERHOOD
She and her younger sister Jamie began riding together but later Lindsay took up dressage while Jamie chose to focus on eventing. "Right from the beginning, Jamie was not having it with dressage. She was a lot more gutsy than I was. She would jump anything. We didn't have money behind us, so we had to work for it. Our parents have always been insanely supportive. They bought us our first horses, but then they basically said, 'If you really want to make a living at this, you have to go out and make it work'." (chronofhorse.com, 29 Jul 2019)
