Her father Steve had a brief acting career, starring in the US soap opera General Hospital in the 1980s, while her mother has worked as a film producer. Her husband Roy Meeus Bond played professional football for Belgian club Dessel Sport. (whoscored.com, 17 Mar 2016; chronofhorse.com, 06 Mar 2009)

Her parents first put her on a horse at age six months. She began taking lessons at age three and entered her first competition at age six. She competed in her first grand prix at age 16. "I just knew that this was what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I loved the horses so much and jumping feels like you're flying." (Federation Equestre Internationale Facebook page, 28 Jun 2019; latimes.com, 06 Oct 2015; showjumpinginternational.com, 31 Oct 2010)

"My parents really saw riding as something I would do forever I think, so they put that as my number one [priority]. School was obviously important, but riding was it for me. I love that it's just you and the horse, and there's no one telling you that you're not going to win because your position isn't right or you're not skinny enough. It's just you and the jumps, and it's all about just not knocking them down." (latimes.com, 06 Oct 2015; chronofhorse.com, 06 Mar 2009)

STABLES
She and her father Steve run Little Valley Farms in Hidden Hills, CA, United States of America. (Facebook page, 18 Jul 2021; noellefloyd.com, 13 Feb 2020; ashleebond.com, 31 Dec 2015)

ISRAEL MOVE
She became an Israeli citizen in 2018. Although she had previously represented the United States of America, she is eligible to compete for Israel because her father was born there. Part of her motivation for making the switch was the opportunity to ride at major international events such as the World Equestrian Games [WEG] and the Olympic Games. "I'm excited. We have a good team, and I'm looking forward to that. It was just the right move and something that I felt in my heart that I should be doing. It's a place that holds a lot of meaning to me and I couldn't be happier to represent them." HORSE RETIREMENT
In 2019 she announced the retirement of her 15-year-old mare Chela LS. She had competed with the horse at the 2018 World Equestrian Games [WEG] in Tryon, NC, United States of America. "Retirement is never an easy choice, but once the decision is made, there's no better feeling than knowing you're doing what's right for your horse. I first tried Chela LS [in 2013] at Spruce Meadows, and from there, we've gone on to accomplish incredible things. She's made multiple comebacks throughout her career, but now, at the age of 15, it's time for her to enjoy relaxing in a large field." (worldofshowjumping.com, 24 Jul 2019)

CAREER BREAK AND RETURN
She took a break from riding at age 19 and began pursuing a career in acting and singing in the entertainment industry. She rediscovered her passion for horses at age 21 after travelling to New Zealand with her mother, who was working on location as a film producer. "I got to fall in love with the animal again and riding in its purest form. It was definitely an 'aha' moment. I got home and got on a horse that day and haven't looked back. I think it brought me back to the horses for the real reason that I started riding in the first place, which was for the love of the animal and the sport." (noellefloyd.com, 11 Jul 2019)
