"Try. Fail. Learn. We have to try, in terms of pushing ourselves, our boundaries and horizons, but also trying new things. This will inevitably lead to failure. So, we must fail well. Then, we can learn from it. Learning is a mind-set, a skill, a process, and it is aided by a system." (veterinaryireland.ie, 09 Nov 2018)

OTHER ACTIVITIES
He and his business partner Diarmuid Byrne founded EquiRatings, a data and content company for equestrian sport. The business signed a four-year contract with the International Equestrian Federation [FEI] in April 2017 to work together on risk management initiatives for eventing and endurance. He and Byrne also founded the Eventing Podcast, which offers previews and reviews from the eventing world. In addition, Watson has launched a mobile phone app called OnForm, which is a remote training tool and coaching platform. "It's basically a video feedback tool that can help people, anyone from golfers to horse riders, anyone who is involved in a skills sport and needs feedback on technique."
