"The boys were really quite into water sports, like surf lifesaving, swimming, water polo. We approached the pool for a fun, come-along, have-a-go session for diving, me and my sister. And then we were invited to join the A development squad. I guess we all enjoyed it, so I just kept going. Nothing really beats the accomplishment of doing a good dive, when you hit the water and you know you've nailed it." (stuff.co.nz, 06 Jun 2017)
:
He was named Most Valuable Diver at the 2021 Atlantic Coast Conference [ACC] Championships in Greensboro, NC, United States of America, while representing the University of North Carolina. He was also named 2021 ACC Male Diver of the Year. (chapelboro.com, 08 Apr 2021; dailytarheel.com, 22 Feb 2021)
