Her mother Svetlana Timoshinina represented the Russian Federation in diving at the 1996, 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games, while her father Vladimir Timoshinin competed in diving at the Olympic Games in 1988 [for the Soviet Union] and 1996 [for the Russian Federation]. Her grandmother Natalya Lobanova represented the Soviet Union in diving at the 1964, 1968 and 1972 Olympic Games, winning silver in 10m platform at the 1968 Games.
