"When I was a kid, I used to do gymnastics and someone from my club in Southampton [England] came to my school to see if someone wanted to try diving. As I was pretty flexible from gymnastics, they invited me for a test and I liked it a lot. Also, I was not enjoying gymnastics the way I should, so diving came in a right moment for me." TRAINING SWITCH
In early 2020 she had to switch her training facility from the Southampton Diving Academy in England, to the National Aquatic Centre [NAC] in Dublin, Ireland, as her regular training pool became unavailable during the COVID-19 pandemic. She will become the first Irish female diver to compete at the Olympic Games after she booked a place in the 10m platform event at the 2021 World Cup in Tokyo, Japan. "It has been a really emotional time for me and I just got it together at the right time. After this last year, from everything being postponed, and living away from home for so long, I am very grateful that I was able to qualify Ireland a spot for the Olympic Games in Tokyo." (irishexaminer.com, 04 May 2021)

REPRESENTING IRELAND
