Lasse Hansen and Niklas Larsen are competing at a major tournament as a pair for the first time at Tokyo 2020.

Hansen is a two-time medallist at the world championships, having won gold with Michael Morkov in Berlin in 2020 and silver in 2019 with Casper von Folsach in Pruszkow. He and Morkov also secured the title at the 2019 European Championships in Apeldoorn.

Larsen has had success at continental level as part of another pair, claiming silver at the 2017 European Championships in Berlin with Casper Pedersen. He has competed at the world championships with von Folsach on two occasions, placing fourth and sixth in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
