General Interest

General
LATE STARTER
She finished her collegiate athletics career after graduating from Vanderbilt University and switched to cycling when she moved to study at Northwestern University in mid-2016. She got a job at a bicycle shop in Chicago, IL, United States of America, and her colleagues bought her a road bike. She took to the sport quickly and in January 2017 placed second at the US collegiate national cyclocross championships, before beginning to compete in road events. She took up track cycling in 2019, and says she plans to continue competing in all cycling disciplines. "I had always wanted to try cycling, and I started working at a bike shop since I wasn't training 25 hours every week on top of my academics anymore. Starting with a healthy attitude has really contributed to the success I have had so far in cycling. I want to remain a multi-discipline cyclist for as long as I can." (velonews.com, 19 Aug 2019)

OCCUPATION
She works as the communications director of a non-profit bicycle registration and recovery organisation in the United States of America. (Facebook profile, 07 Aug 2019)

FURTHER STUDIES
After studying for a bachelor's degree at Vanderbilt University, in 2017 she completed a master's degree in health, environment and science journalism at Northwestern University in the United States of America. (LinkedIn profile, 01 Jan 2018)
