Her father Peter is a former professional cyclist and has also served as coach of the Belgium track cycling team. Her brother Roy has represented the Netherlands in track cycling. He was part of the squad that was ranked eighth in the team pursuit at the 2015 World Championships in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France.
