Born in Chile, in 2014 she moved to Australia with her family. She relocated to Europe in 2019 after securing a grant from the International Cycling Union [UCI] to train at the World Cycling Centre in Aigle, Switzerland, and in 2021 she signed for the NXTG team in the Netherlands. "I was tempted to represent Australia, and I thought about it because the structure and the professionalism are much better, but I want to be the Chilean who helps more generations of cycling so that they do not have the same problems I had. I don't want to be one more in another country. I want to be someone. If I am not the best in this sport, I can be someone who helped improve things."
