General Interest

General
POSTPONEMENT POSITIVES
She said the postponement of the Olympic Games in Tokyo gave her time to treat injuries to her shoulders. "The postponement of the Olympic Games and other competitions was beneficial for me. It allowed me to take care of the eternal problems I have had with my shoulders, undergoing treatment at the Republican Scientific and Practical Sports Centre. Now my shoulders do not bother me, there is no pain or discomfort during training." (zviazda.by, 19 Oct 2020)

SPORTING FAMILY
She says having a husband who has competed at the Olympic Games is beneficial as he understands the lifestyle of an elite athlete. "Nobody understands an athlete like another athlete. My husband retired in 2013. He always supports me, he is present at all my training sessions. He takes care of our son when he travels with us to competitions. My husband won major competitions so he knows the amount of work that is required. His advice and patience gives me additional strength. Sometimes he can see better than I can where I need to put in more effort, or when I need to stop and listen to my body." (zviazda.by, 19 Oct 2020)
