In addition to boxing, she has also been involved in a number of sports at an elite level. She has competed in taekwondo for Great Britain, played football for the senior Wales team between 2012 and 2014, and also represented Wales in U14 netball. She has perhaps been most successful in kickboxing. "I was 10 years old when I joined a kickboxing club. I travelled the world and became world champion, European champion, and British champion. I've played football, I've been world champion and European champion, but going to the [2020] Olympics and winning a medal [in boxing] would top everything in my career." NO RUSH TO GO PROFESSIONAL
She hopes to win gold at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, and expects to try to qualify for the 2024 Games in Paris rather than turn professional. "My only focus is Tokyo - and I might do another cycle yet. [British boxer] Nicola Adams did two cycles. I just think at the minute, for pros, it's not that big. You could have a world title within three fights, five fights or something like that. Where do you go from there? If I'm medalling at a world championships, an Olympics, I'm on funding, I'm making an alright wage for myself in the amateurs, then I just look at it that way. I love travelling the world, going to different countries and picking up experience. She became the first female boxer representing Wales to claim gold at the Commonwealth Games by winning the middleweight category at the 2018 Games in Gold Coast, QLD, Australia. Four years earlier in Glasgow, Scotland, she had become the first female Welsh boxer to finish on the podium at the Commonwealth Games, securing bronze in the middleweight division.
