EARLY DAYS
His father Alex was coach of the men's basketball team at Erie Community College in the United States of America while Jordan was still at high school. At the beginning his junior year he asked his father if he could start training with the college team and, despite concerns about the early morning sessions and playing against athletes that were four or five years older, Alex decided to allow it. "[On the first morning] I went to wake him up but he was downstairs waiting for me. They went at him really hard. I wasn't calling fouls. I didn't stop. I said, 'If you quit, you can't come back'. He fought through it all game. He started getting up in the morning every day. That's when I knew he was serious. I told my players to play him as hard as you can, and he took it. That shows the resilience, how much he wanted it," Alex said. (espn.com, 17 Jan 2020)
