His father moved to Germany from the Islamic Republic of Iran. He was born and raised in Germany, and spent his grade nine season at Washington's Toutle Lake High School in the United States of America. He returned to Germany for three years between 2010 and 2013 before moving back to the United States of America to play for a year at Lower Columbia Valley College in Longview, Washington. From there he transferred to Olds College in Alberta, Canada, where he earned a sports management diploma. Between 2015 and 2018 he studied at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. "After I graduated in 2018, I decided to turn pro and returned to Europe. Since then I have been able to play in Spain [CB Clavijo], Austria [SKN St. Polten], and my home country, Germany. I will be going into my fourth professional season for Medi Bayreuth in the Basketball Bundesliga next year [2021/22]."
