She worked with Marina Maljkovic - head coach of the Serbian women's basketball team at the 2020 Olympic Games - while she was playing for Galatasaray in Turkey during the 2016/17 season. Maljkovic proposed the idea of playing for Serbia to her, and in 2020 she was granted Serbian citizenship. "I played for Marina in Galatasaray a few years ago. I really appreciated it. I think she is one of the best, if not the best coach in Europe. When she offered me the chance to be part of the Serbian national team, I didn't have to think long. My job is just to add my qualities to what she has already built to achieve our goals, win medals, and be successful.
