TIME ABROAD
In 2015 she played for the Phoenix Mercury in the Women's National Basketball Association [WNBA] in the United States of America. After not making the Australia team for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, she moved to Poland to play for AZS UMCS Lublin. "Going there allowed me to focus on something else after the disappointment of being one of the last players cut from the Opals squad for the Rio Olympics." (australia.basketball, 01 Jan 2020; athletesvoice.com.au, 23 Jan 2019)

INJURY COMEBACK
Her time in Poland ended after she tore her anterior cruciate ligament [ACL]. She returned to Australia for surgery on the injury, and was unable to play for over a year. "My time out of the game, I believe, has set me up for the next half of my career. It gave me fresh perspective and helped me appreciate this game in a different light." (athletesvoice.com.au, 23 Jan 2019)
