SHOULDER, ELBOW RECONSTRUCTIONS
Shoulder and elbow surgeries meant she sat out most 2017, returning to action in early 2018. "It was my second shoulder reconstruction and first for the elbow. It pretty much wiped me out for the whole year. It's feeling really good now [2018]. It's come a long way and I'm really happy with it." (softball.org.au, 15 May 2018)

CAREER BALANCE
She has worked full-time as a police officer in Sydney, NSW, Australia, alongside playing softball. She says that although pursuing her career and elite-level sport is difficult, her employers have been flexible and helped her achieve both. "I'm not going to lie, it's definitely not easy. Balance is definitely the key and I've had to work on that over the last few years. But I'm very thankful that the job has been very kind in giving me the leave that I need, as well as shift changes and that kind of thing.
