BREAK AND RETURN TO SPORT
Following the 2015 national championship in Australia she spent several years away from the sport to give birth to her second son Tom, before taking up club softball again in 2018 for enjoyment and to keep fit. In early 2019 she was selected for the Australian national team for the first time in six years after impressing upon her return. "When I wasn't playing, I still went out and watched every single West Australian game. Watching made me want to train and I trained because I love it, not because I was trying to get selected. I think that meant I played with quite a freedom. It spins me out that physically I got back, but mentally I never really left the game. I was pretty shocked and emotional when I found out I'd been picked again." (wais.org.au, 23 Sep 2019; pressreader.com, 19 Jan 2019)

OCCUPATION
She works as a physical education teacher at Iona Presentation College in Perth, WA, Australia. (Iona Presentation College Facebook page, 08 Mar 2021; LinkedIn profile, 01 Apr 2017)
