General Interest

General
TOKYO CONFIDENCE
She believes the Australian team can overcome the United States of America and Japan to claim gold at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. "If we do our homework on them and put together a good seven innings we are definitely in with a shot of beating them. We will have to play really well as everyone does, but all the teams that are over there will definitely be beatable and I think we have the personnel to do it. I'll be disappointed with anything short of a medal." (The Sunday Times Perth, 09 Feb 2020)

VETERAN PLAYER
She will be 32 at the rescheduled Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021 and believes she has improved as she has gotten older, both in her fitness and psychologically. "In general, I am a better and more rounded player than I was five years ago. I would never have thought I'd be saying that at 30, so I'm happy with that. But as you get older you get wiser in certain situations. You tend to comprehend things a little bit differently and rely on your experience. Although I'm physically fitter than I have been in the past, I've also grown mentally. I've definitely evolved and hopefully become a better player." (softball.org.au, 17 Dec 2019)

OCCUPATION
She works as a fitness industry professional in Perth, WA, Australia. She has previously worked in sales for a baseball, softball and tee-ball business and in member services for football sporting body Football West.
