"I think what makes any pitcher successful is just having control over their pitches. I try to maintain as much accuracy with all my pitches that I can, and rely on my teammates to have my back. I think I just try to get the best outcome for my team, whether that's locating the pitch as best as I can in order to get a groundout and easy play for the field, or a strikeout through just working well with the catcher and my pitching coach." (flosoftball.com, 01 Oct 2018)

While playing for the University of Washington in 2019 she was named on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association [NFCA] All-American First Team, the All-Pac-12 Conference First Team, and was a finalist for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Award. UNITED STATES MOVE
She moved from Sydney to the United States of America in 2017 after receiving a scholarship to play softball at the University of Washington [UW] in Seattle. In her freshman year she became the university's first softball player to throw 100+ innings and allow under 100 hits. In her junior year she became the fastest UW player to reach 50 career wins, and by her senior year in 2021 she held the second-highest number of perfect games and no hitters in UW history. "Travelling to the other side of the world and not only going to one of the best schools but also one of the best softball teams in America has definitely been a challenge. I've learnt a lot over there. To get me to this point I think it's definitely made me stronger, not just physically, but mentally as well." After a shortened season in 2020 due to COVID-19, she decided to return to the university in 2021 as she believed it would improve her chances of being selected for the Olympic Games in Tokyo. "That's one of the reasons why I came back to Washington, not only to do schooling but to play with my teammates. I just want to keep learning and to keep having fun. I tend to perform the best when I am having fun. It is difficult being so far away from my Australian teammates. I have to make sure that I'm communicating with the coaches back home as well as the coaches here to make sure that I'm doing everything that I need to do to make the [Olympic] team in their eyes."
