General Interest

General
US EXPERIENCE
She played in the United States of America at the University of Hawaii for two years and has since also played in the US in the National Pro Fastpitch [NPF] with the Chicago Bandits and Aussie Peppers. She says her time at the University of Hawaii was a valuable experience and a contrast with softball in Australia. "It was eye-opening. It definitely gave me a bigger perspective on the sport. The difference between how we play in Australia and how the Americans play, it was a real learning curve. Just the amount of training, the facilities, the fields, the batting cages. I loved it, and I learned a lot about myself." (softball.org.au, 25 Aug 2016; softball.org.au, 11 Feb 2020; LinkedIn profile, 01 Aug 2018)

OCCUPATION
She has worked as an exotic animal keeper at Zambi Wildlife Retreat in Sydney, NSW, Australia, and describes herself as a conservationist. She has also worked as a softball instructor for an online softball training company. (mq.edu.au, 20 Oct 2020; Facebook profile, 19 Apr 2020; LinkedIn profile, 01 Aug 2018)

FURTHER EDUCATION
In 2014 she completed two years of a biology undergraduate degree at the University of Hawaii, before transferring to Macquarie University in New South Wales, Australia. (LinkedIn profile, 01 Aug 2018; Macquarie University Softball Team Facebook page, 23 Sep 2019; mq.edu.au, 20 Oct 2020)
