Her sister Sharlize began playing softball with the University of Arizona in the United States of America in 2020, and also plays as a catcher. Her father Franciso Palacios, also a catcher, was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 1992 MLB Draft and played professional baseball in the United States of America. She was born and raised in Chula Vista, CA, United States of America, and is eligible to play for Mexico through her father, who moved from Tijuana, Mexico, to San Diego, CA, to pursue his professional baseball career.
