FROM THE UNITED STATES TO MEXICO
He was born in Arizona in the United States of America to Mexican parents, and has dual citizenship in both nations. He grew up travelling every weekend to Nogales, Mexico, where his father played baseball. He attended high school in Sahuarita, AZ, United States of America, where he was first spotted by Major League Baseball scouts. He signed for a scholarship from the University of Arizona to play baseball but he did not play as he opted to play professionally. (elvigia.net, 24 Aug 2019; hermosillolife.com, 2016)

CLUB HISTORY
He was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 12th round of the 2007 MLB Draft after finishing high school. He played for a number of the Yankees' minor league affiliate teams in the United States of America until 2014 when he was signed as a free agent by MLB side the Milwaukee Brewers. He continued playing in minor leagues in Mexico and the United States of America, before signing as a free agent with MLB side the Atlanta Braves in 2016 on a minor league contract. He has continued playing in a number of minor league teams, predominantly with Mexican team Toros de Tijuana, and signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles in 2021, who assigned him to the Triple-A Norfolk Tides to begin the season. FUTURE PLANS
He plans to become a baseball broadcaster once his playing days are over. "I have already warned the guys in the [broadcaster's] booth that I am coming for the job. It would be another way to keep on being involved in baseball. It will be very hard to keep away from it." (elvigia.net, 24 Aug 2019)
