OLYMPIC SELECTION CONTROVERSY
He and men's doubles partner Ben Lane were selected to represented Great Britain at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, despite fellow British pair Marcus Ellis and Chris Langridge, who won bronze at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, placing higher in the world rankings. Ellis and Langridge appealed against the decision on age discrimination grounds, but their appeal was rejected. "I wouldn't say we're defending the bronze from Rio, we have our own goals.
