General Interest

General
SOCIAL MEDIA
She says athletes need more help to deal with the pressure and exposure of social media. "There's a level of attention that athletes wouldn't have had 20 years ago. It's like a vacuum and we don't have an infrastructure to help athletes with yet as it's still a new thing. Things need to evolve in line with it to help people cope with the pressure and expectation that comes externally, rather than just from within athletes themselves." (bbc.co.uk, 18 May 2020)

OTHER ACTIVITIES
She has served as a member of the Badminton World Federation [BWF] Athletes' Commission, and as a member of the West of Scotland Institute of Sport Athlete Representative Group. She has also been featured as a guest sports writer for The Herald newspaper in Scotland. (dailyrecord.co.uk, 02 Apr 2020; bwfbadminton.com, 17 Jun 2019, 2020; LinkedIn profile, 01 Jan 2019)
