In 2021 he was appointed chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Physical Education and Sports of the Chelyabinsk Region of the Russian Federation. He has also worked with the 'Our Health is in Our Hands' programme, which aims to promote sport and healthy living to young people in Chelyabinsk, Russian Federation. "I go to schools to talk with guys about a healthy lifestyle and, of course, I promote badminton as one of the most accessible Olympic sports. I believe that every professional athlete in any sport should conduct such master classes. And when children at school, in kindergarten see in front of them a person whom they once saw on TV, they remember it."
