Jamaica's mixed 4x400m relay team won silver at the event's world championship debut in 2019 in Doha. They beat bronze medallists Bahrain by just 0.04s in the final, while the United States of America claimed gold nearly two-and-a-half seconds ahead of the Jamaicans.

At the 2019 World Relays in Yokohama, the Jamaican team missed out on qualifying for the final by 0.21s behind Brazil. They won bronze when the event was first contested at the 2017 World Relays in Nassau.
