Germany qualified for the mixed 4x400m relay via the world rankings, courtesy of their time of 3:13.57 at an event on home soil in Regensburg in June 2021.

The German team finished ranked 14th in the event at the 2019 World Championships in Doha. Earlier that year they qualified fifth-fastest for the final at the World Relays and went on to finish seventh in the final. They failed to make the final at the 2021 World Relays, however, where they finished fifth in their heat and ranked 13th overall.
