In 2018 she was limited by a partial tear of her Achilles tendon. The same year she missed the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, QLD, Australia, as the result of spinal and rib fractures. In 2016 she was diagnosed with seven compression fractures of her spine as she prepared for the 2016 London Marathon in England. The injury resulted in her losing three centimetres in height and ended her chances of competing at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
