In July 2014 he was involved in a motorcycle accident in the city centre of Birmingham, England. He suffered a severe haematoma on his back, a brain injury, a damaged posterior cruciate ligament [knee], a gluteal tear and a heavily bruised lower back. He returned to competition in mid-2015. MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT
He was fortunate to escape from his July 2014 motorcycle accident without any broken bones, but he was still bed-ridden for three weeks due to his injuries and did not compete again for nearly a year. "My little brother was on the back of the bike at the time and flipped over the top of it. My knee was wedged in between the bike and a car, so I was trapped. I landed on the curb and hit my head on a bollard so I blacked out. It was scariest for my brother, because he stood up and saw his big brother on the floor, not moving.
