COACHING
In November 2020 he and partner Lily Partridge launched Team Elite Running, a business through which they offer one-to-one coaching and training plans. He has also volunteered as an assistant track coach at Derby Athletic Club. He has been self-coached since 2019. "I've been self-coaching for just over a year now [speaking in October 2020] and that has gone well. Coaching is something I'm really interested in anyway and I enjoy doing the research and working things out. That is the route I do want to go down eventually. It is something I am really interested in. Lily calls me a bit of a geek the way I like to do my research and reading and know what's going on. But I do really enjoy it." MOVE TO MARATHON
After winning the British 10,000m title in 2019 and competing in the 5000m at the 2019 World Championships in Doha, Qatar, he made his marathon debut at the 2020 London Marathon in England. In London he achieved the qualifying time for the 2020 Olympic Games. "The London Marathon is where I always wanted to make my debut, it's my home marathon."
