"I went out for the track team in eighth grade to stay in shape for [American] football. That was the first and last year I ever played football. I wanted to run and jump because those are the cool things that people care about, but then I tripped over a hurdle and my coach was like, 'okay, you're big, you're going to throw now'." CAREER CHOICE
In 2016 he received a job offer in investment banking with Wall Street firm JPMorgan Chase & Co. He turned the potentially high-paying job offer down, preferring to focus on sports where he earns money through tutoring and other part-time work. "It wasn't a great financial move, but I think it panned out alright. You only get the opportunity to pursue athletics once. At a certain point, I'll start the rest of my life. It's better to go for it now rather than look back and wonder." (app.com, 05 Aug 2019)

COACHING
He serves as a volunteer assistant coach at Rutgers University, where he also trains. "It's definitely cool to work with their throwers. Anytime you try to teach, you have to learn things better, looking at what they're doing and working things through, so there's a ton of value in it."
